About IAVM

The IAAM Crowd Manager Curriculum Project was originally organized in 1997 to address requirements for assembly occupancies put forward with the addition of crowd manager[1] and crowd manager supervisor in the 1994 Life Safety Code of the National Fire Protection Association[2](NFPA 101).

The goal of this project was to create a training program for crowd managers and crowd manager supervisors that will provide a means for venue managers to meet their obligations under NFPA code.
